Spicy Salmon

Spice it up with our Spicy Salmon! This recipe is the perfect easy meal that is healthy, satisfying, and easy as can be! 

Prep time: 5 Mins
Cook time: 15 Mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 pounds side of wild caught salmon
  • 1-2 Tbsp of Cracker Girl Original Spicy Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 medium lime zest and 1 tablespoon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro


  • Directions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
    2. Line a large baking dish with a piece of aluminum foil large enough to wrap around the salmon and seal it. Coat the foil with nonstick spray and place salmon in the center.
    3. In a bowl, stir together the brown sugar, Cracker Girl Spicy Seasoning, lime zest, and salt. Brush the salmon with the olive oil and lime juice. Sprinkle with the Cracker Girl Spicy Seasoning, rubbing if needed to coat the salmon evenly.
    4. Fold the sides of the aluminum foil up and over the top of the salmon. Bake for 12-18 minutes, until the salmon is almost completely cooked through at the thickest part. 
    5. Remove the salmon from the oven and open the foil so the fish is completely uncovered. Change the oven setting to broil, and return the salmon to the oven and broil for 3 minutes, until the top of the salmon is slightly golden. *Keep an eye on it and make sure it does not overcook.
    6. Once it flakes easily with a fork, it's ready. Cut the salmon into portions and sprinkle fresh cilantro on top with an extra squeeze of lime juice if desired..
