PREP TIME: 1 day
COOK TIME: 4 hrs
Directions (2 Days):
Remove the neck and the pack from inside of the turkey and wash the turkey. Cut off all the fat. Rub turkey with oil, then the salt and lemon pepper.
Put turkey in the oven bag and into a pan. Refrigerate at least 12 hours for the turkey to marinate.
Day 2 (Thanksgiving) :
Preheat oven 350 degrees F.
- Remove turkey from fridge at least 30 mins before cooking.
- Add mushrooms, onion, garlic carrots and lemon to the inside of the turkey. Anything left can go in the bag with the turkey. Tie the bag.
- Cook turkey in oven on the middle rack for 4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. Let the turkey cool for 30 minutes and then platter the turkey. Enjoy!
